Terms & legal
The terms under which Brig and this site are provided. Brig is self-hosted and model-agnostic; using it is at your own discretion and risk.
Current as of 2026-06-23. By downloading, installing, or using Brig, or by using this site, you agree to these terms.
1. Who provides Brig
Brig is made and distributed by osnavi, an independent, Swiss-rooted project. Contact: hello@osnavi.com.
2. No warranty — provided "as is"
Brig is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied — including, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Brig is security software designed to reduce risk. It does not guarantee that it will prevent every attack, every data loss, or any other damage. It is one layer of defence (defence in depth), not a substitute for your own security practices, review, and judgement.
3. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, osnavi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of — or inability to use — Brig or this site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — in Switzerland, liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct is not excluded.
4. Your responsibilities
You decide how Brig is configured and deployed, and what it is permitted to allow or deny. You are responsible for testing that Brig fits your needs, for keeping it up to date, and for the security of your own environment and the actions taken within it.
5. Licence
The Brig gateway is offered under a source-available, no-compete licence; Brig's underlying execution engines remain proprietary. Whether and when any source is made available is at osnavi's discretion. The applicable licence text, where source is provided, governs your use of that source. (Licence terms are being finalised.)
6. Intellectual property
© 2026 osnavi. The Brig software, this site and its content, and the osnavi and Brig names are the property of osnavi. "osnavi" is a trademark (Swiss application filed). You may not remove or alter copyright, trademark, or licensing notices.
7. Privacy
This site uses no trackers, cookies, or analytics. Brig is self-hosted: your code and data stay on your own infrastructure, and Brig sends no telemetry to osnavi.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the current one; please check back for changes.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
